The Rev. Dawn Skjei Cooley—who has in fact participated in roller derbies—believes that Unitarian Universalists are called to “love the hell out of the world.” It’s a calling she practices regularly.
Rev. Cooley is on the Congregational Life Staff for Unitarian Universalism’s Southern Region, where she helps congregations “adapt to the changing cultural religious landscape.” She previously was a minister at the First Unitarian Church of Louisville, KY. And yes, she played competitive roller derby, “briefly,” for “LivFearless” with the Derby City Roller Girls.
