Join us this evening (Friday, Nov. 10) for one of the four main Buddhist festivals. Lha Bab Duchen celebrates Shakyamuni Buddha’s descent from Tashita Heaven. After the Buddha’s mother was reborn there, the Buddha spent three months teaching in the realm of the gods to repay her kindness and liberate her, and to benefit the gods.
Fellowship member Joanie Andras, an ordained Buddhist nun and mindfulness instructor, will lead a practice of 30 to 45 minutes, followed by refreshments and socializing.
This free event begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Meeting House on our Heiferhorn Way campus. Members, friends and visitors are welcome. We appreciate RSVPs to [email protected], with “Buddhist celebration” in the subject line.
