Stephen Scott—a writer, artist, musician and founder of the annual “Strut the Hooch” parade— is a creative force in Columbus.

Stephen has written five children’s books, and he illustrated his most recent one. He writes a blog for Columbus and the Valley magazine, and he plays in the St. Luke Wind Ensemble. He’s a drummer for the Cavaliers Big Band, and he is the immediate past president of the Auburn University Alumni Band. He coordinates the annual Tuba Christmas concert, and he created and coordinates the annual Uptown Columbus “Strut the Hooch” parade. He also is an adept at what he calls “masterful puttering.” In all this, he tries to live by his mother’s admonition that “someone is always watching you.”

Stephen lives in Columbus, Georgia with his wife Adleyn, a retired teacher who is also an artist and church organist.
