Freedom to Marry Prayer Vigil
Saturday, April 25, 2015
Grace Fellowship Hall
Unitarian Universalist Fellowship
Columbus, Ga.
Columbus, Ga.—On Tuesday, April 28, 2015, the United States Supreme Court will hear oral arguments whether to affirm or deny the freedom of all couples in love to marry, regardless of sexual orientation. Anticipating those arguments, Georgia Equality invites supporters of marriage equality to a prayer vigil in Columbus on Saturday, April 25. (Details below.)
We will pray for the plaintiffs, the justices and our country. Faith leaders, marriage equality advocates and our families and friends will meet at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship here to recognize how far we have come and to commit to continuing our national conversation about equality for all.
Joining us will be Rev. Duncan Teague, a Unitarian Universalist minister and Faith Outreach Chair of Georgia Equality. Together we will reflect on our journey and pray for the future.
Marriage equality is a defining issue of our time. Are you ready for freedom?
