A program on The Mountain, a UU Retreat, as we return to Grace Fellowship Hall

This Sunday’s service, May 23, at 11 a.m., marks are return to in-person services indoors at Grace Fellowship Hall. We’ll all be masked up, vaccinated and socially distanced, and we’ll provide extra ventilation. The pandemic isn’t over, but with these extraordinary measures, we think for vaccinated people the risk will be reasonable. But we’ll also offer the service live on Zoom for those not ready to meat in person.

The service will be special, too. Long-time Fellowship member John Kamisky and former member Barry White  often volunteer at The Mountain, the UU retreat and learning center near Highlands, N.C. They will talk about to participate in programs there, enjoy its beauty and support its mission.

We originally planned to return to indoor services on June 6, but for reasons related to technology and the mysteries thereof, it makes more sense to do it this Sunday.

Again, as the pandemic abates, we’ll further reduce the risks indoors by requiring these safety measures:

  • Masks.
  • Social distancing.
  • Vaccinations.

Seating will be limited. We’ll also offer the service live on Zoom for those who don’t wish attend.
