Monday, Nov. 2, through Thursday, Nov. 5
StageSouth Theatre Company rehearses this week for Horton Foote’s play “1918,” which opens Friday.

Friday, Nov. 6
12:30 p.m. UU Media Luncheon. An informal weekly lunch at various local establishments, where we discuss and solve the important issues of the day. Started by retired journalists, the lunch is open to anyone interested in media. For location and details, call Bill Harlan at 605.390.0590.
7 p.m. StageSouth opens “1918” in Grace Fellowship Hall. (StageSouth is not affiliated with the UUFC, but we have offered the new company our facility for performances. (play opens Friday) Tickets and more information are available online at www.stagesouththeatre.org or at the door.

 

Sunday, Nov. 8
9:30 a.m. Adult Religious Education: A discussion of Jewish and Christian concepts of a messiah.
10:40 a.m. Sunday service. This week, Brookstone School social studies teacher Mark Erb will talk about social justice.
10:40 a.m. Children’s Religious Education: This week’s topic is “Looking for Signs of Community.”

Childcare is available from 9:30 a.m. until noon. Join us a few minutes before the Sunday service for coffee and conversation.
