Kenny Gray: “A War Resister’s Journey”

Our guest speaker talks about an act of conscience. “The decision changed the trajectory of my life,” Kenny Gray says.

Sunday services begin at 11 a.m. but do join us early for coffee and conversation. Grace Fellowship Hall is at 8827 Heiferhorn Way in north Columbus, on the banks of Heiferhorn Creek. Visitors and guests are welcome.

Kenny was director of the Rankin Photography Center at Columbus State University for 16 years, and now he teaches at the Georgia School of Photography.

His photographs are held in many private and public collections, including the CSU Archives, The LaGrange Art Museum, The Lamar Dodd Art Center, also in LaGrange, and The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia in Atlanta.

Kenny lives on a small lake in Harris County, in a home designed by his wife, Brenda Stevens, who is a member of our Fellowship. Kenny says that Spot Stubbs, their pocket pit, “keeps us honest.”

Sunday services feature a speaker—either a member of the Fellowship or a guest. Services also include music, readings, meditation and opportunities, always optional, to share your own thoughts. Our members come from many creeds and ethical traditions. What we share is a commitment to the Seven Principles of Unitarian Universalism.
