Unitarian Universalism, like most religions, is evolving. But UU also is different from many religions in its approach to change. We welcome it. We celebrate change and plan for it. That’s doesn’t mean change isn’t challenging for UU congregations and their members. Nor does it mean we don’t have lasting core values and commitments. And we do admit it can be complicated.

With that in mind, we invite you to explore a major shift in how we express our commitments to human rights and care for the planet. It’s called the “Final Proposed Revision to Article II.” That’s an admittedly dry title for some powerful ideas. UU congregations will be asked to ratify this document this year—probably in a form close to the proposal.
