6 p.m. UU Singers practice. All voices welcome.
7 p.m. Discussion Group. This week’s topic: “Day Trips.” All opinions (and day trips) welcome.
Thursday, April 28
1:30 p.m. The best yoga deal in the Chattahoochee Valley. Sonya Saxton teaches a gentle call, suitable for beginners, but all levels are welcome to these hour-long sessions. Bring $5, your own mat and, if you like, a water bottle.
Friday, April 29
12:30 p.m. UU Media Lunch. Started by journalists but open to anyone with an interest, this group meets for lunch at various Columbus restaurants to discuss issues of the day and media coverage thereof. For this week’s location and to RSVP call or text Bill Harlan at 605.390.0590.
Sunday, May 1
The first Sunday of each month is a great day to get to know us. First of all, it’s Bring a Friend Day. (If you are reading this, you qualify.) Also, we have a potluck lunch after the service, about noon. If you’re a visitor, just bring your appetite. We’ll have plenty. And every Sunday, child care is available from 9:30 a.m. until noon.
9:30 a.m. Adult Religious Education. This is a UU tradition. This week we’ll learn about “The Bacchae.”
10:30 a.m. Coffee, light snacks and hellos.
10:45: a.m. The Sunday Service begins. This week’s program is “Robert Fulghum’s Big Lessons,” presented by Ron Ussery and Women’s Book Club members Connie Ussery, Joyce Hickson, and Pat Hart.
10:50 a.m. (Approximate.) Children always going us for the first few minutes of a service, which includes a children’s story. Then the kids gather upstairs for their own lesson. This Sunday’s topic, “Hearth and Home.”
