7 p.m. Board meeting.

Wednesday, Aug. 17
7 p.m. Discussion group. This week’s topic: how to prevent the radicalization of young Muslims.

Thursday, Aug. 18
7 p.m. Our new Spirituality group meets to discuss various issues related to how Unitarian Universalists practice spirituality.

Friday, Aug. 19
12:30 p.m. At Caffe Amici, the UU Media Lunch Group meets to discuss issues of the day, media coverage thereof and other topics. Everyone is welcome. RSVP to Bill Harlan at 605 390-0590 (mobile).

Sunday, Aug. 21
Childcare is available from 9:30 a.m. until noon. Visitors are always welcome.

9:30 a.m. Adult Religious Education. This Sunday’s topic is the Buddhist view of nirvana.
10:30 a.m. Coffee and conversation.
10:45 a.m. Sunday service. This week’s speaker is the Rev. Diana Allende, a Unitarian Universalist minister from Auburn, AL. Her talk this Sunday: “Given to Me to Do.”

10:50 a.m. Children’s Religious Education. The kids join us for the first few minutes of the main service, which includes a children’s story. Then they adjourn to a classroom.
