Columbus State University is celebrating Carson McCuller’s 100th birthday this year. Our program for this Sunday (March 5) will be “An American Malady: Loneliness as Theme in the Works of Carson McCullers,” presented by Dr. Nick Norwood, who teaches creative writing at CSU. Norwood is a widely published poet, and he also directs the Carson McCullers Center for Writers and Musicians in Columbus, Ga., and in Nyack, N.Y.

10:45 a.m. Sunday service. Today’s program is “An American Malady: Loneliness as Theme in the Works of Carson McCullers,” presented by poet Nick Norwood.
10:50 a.m. Children’s Religious Education: “The More We Get Together”, led by Nate Gross. (Children join us for the first part of the service, which includes a children’s story. Then the kids adjourn to a classroom for their own program.
