Our UU accompanist, Hongling Liang, and her good friend, soprano Hannah Meloy, will present a “Summer Romance” recital at Grace Fellowship Hall on Sunday, July 15. They’ll perform music by Barber, Debussy and Granados. The recital begins 4:30 p.m, and admission is free. (Donations will be accepted for the UU music program.)
Hongling, has been our accompanist for the past two years, while she worked on a piano performance certificate at the Schwob School School of Music. She’ll soon depart Georgia for Texas to work on her doctorate in collaborative piano. Hannah is an emerging artist in Boston, where she and Hongling met as students at the Longy School of Music.
Both musicians have earned a slew of prizes, and they previewed a song for us last Sunday. You will not be disappointed. Satisfaction guaranteed!
(Don’t be confused by a similar announcement for their recital Friday, July 13, at 5:30 p.m. the Bartlett Center in Columbus. If Sunday doesn’t work for you, do go to Friday’s performance. Or see both!)
