A New Year’s Eve (morning) service: Out with the old, in with the new

Fellowship members Ellen and Bill Harlan will present a Sunday morning service on New Year’s Eve. Visitors and guests are always welcome at our progressive Fellowship. Sunday services start at 11 a.m., but join us early for coffee and conversation. (We’ll be done by noon.)

This special New Year’s Eve service will have two goals: letting go of unwanted baggage from 2023 and welcoming opportunities for joy in 2024. The service will be a family friendly, with music and readings. We’re usually casual, but, what the heck, it’s New Year’s Eve. Let’s get dressed up! Kids too!

Ellen and Bill Harlan

Ellen is a retired band teacher and our former choir director. Bill’s a retired journalist and our former president. They’ve been members of our Fellowship for a decade.

We are “religious” in an unusual way. We value “deeds before creeds.” How we treat people and the planet is more important to us than theology. That doesn’t mean we don’t have faith or creeds. We’ve got all kinds of creeds. Our members include Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Wiccans and others. We also include humanists, agnostics and atheists. We simply don’t share creeds.

What we do share is a commitment to the Seven Principles of Unitarian Universalism.

There’s more, of course. Join us any Sunday to learn more about our particular Fellowship and about Unitarian Universalism in general. If you’ve become unsatisfied with other organized religions, you might find a home here. (Full disclosure: we’re not that organized.)
