Artificial intelligence (AI) is everywhere now, promising new benefits, threatening new dangers and raising questions about what it means to be “conscious.”
Fellowship member Bill Harlan has been observing the rise of the machines for more than 40 years—as a journalist and a communications director at a physics research laboratory. Bill retired to Columbus 10 years ago, sort of. Now he’s a part-time communications consultant for a company that provides information technology services for businesses. He’s also a former president of our Fellowship.
