Carol Cain: Rosie the Riveter

Guest speaker Carol Cain dresses in coveralls, work boots and an iconic red head scarf to tell the story of women who joined the workforce at home to help win World War II.

Carol Cain as Rosie the Riveter

Services start at 11 a.m., but join us early for coffee and conversation. Visitors are always welcome at our liberal, progressive Fellowship.

Carol Cain’s annual appearances at Roosevelt’s Little White House in Warm Springs, Georgia, has earned her awards as the most innovative program at a historic site. The Little White House also presented her with the Carolyn Carter Award for most outstanding volunteer for the year 2013-2014.  She has performed as Rosie through Georgia and nationally.

Our Sunday services often feature guest speakers. They also include music, readings, a little meditation, and optional opportunities to share your thoughts.

If you come Sunday, be prepared for something different. Unitarian Universalism is an unusual religion. For example, we don’t share a creed. Our Fellowship includes Christians, Jews, Buddhists and subscribers to earth-centered traditions—Pagans and Wicca’s among them. Members also include humanists, agnostics, atheists and people who resist labels.

What we do share are commitments to respect the dignity of all people, to care for the planet and to support each other in our free, responsible and unique searches for truth and meaning. In other words, we celebrate life.

See us Sunday for details. If you’ve been unsatisfied with other religions, you might find a home here.
