Dave Hudson will talk about the Citizens Climate Lobby’s climate change solution and Its elegant theological underpinnings.
The Citizens Climate Lobby, which Dave and his wife, Kate, founded, proposes a legislative solution to the over-production of greenhouse gases that is raising global temperatures. Dave will lay out that solution, and he just might encourage us to get involved.
The Hudsons have been members and active leaders of UU Metro Atlanta North, or UUMAN, in Roswell since 2001. Dave is currently chair of UUMAN’s Adult Programs Team. Dave speaks regularly in his own congregation and occasionally at other UU churches in Georgia and South Carolina. He grew up in New England, and now he’s retired from a career in the paper business, most recently from his own business, exporting paper to Mexico.
Our services often feature a talk from someone outside the Fellowship, like Dave. Visitors are always welcome. Come early or stay late for coffee and conversation. Here’s the complete rundown of activities this Sunday:
- 9:30 a.m. until noon. Free child care available.
- 9:30 a.m. Adult Religious Education. This week: “The Science of Mindlessness and Mindfulness, Part One.”
- 10:00 a.m. UU Singers practice. All voices are welcome. (We also practice Wednesdays at 6 p.m.)
- 10:15 a.m. Coffee and conversation before the service.
- 10:45 a.m. The Sunday service, this week with Dave Hudson.
- 10:55 a.m. Children’s Religious Education. Kids join us for the first few minutes of each Sunday service, which includes a children’s story, then that adjourn to a classroom for their own activities.
