David Smith will talk about how to stay sane “when politics is utterly insane.”

Smith graduated from Columbus High School in 2016. He recently completed his first year at Columbus State University, where he is enrolled in the Honors College. He’s working toward a degree in political science, with a minor in creative writing.

Last year Smith was Georgia’s youngest delegate for Sen. Bernie Sanders at the Democratic National Convention. He is currently the president of the Young Democrats of Muscogee County, and he’s working on a novel. And he’s a member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Columbus, where he is a volunteer service leader.
