Guest speaker: CSU poet Carey Scott Wilkerson

Guest speaker Dr. Scott Wilkerson has taught at Columbus State University since 2009. Our services also include music, meditation and optional opportunities to share what’s important in your life.

Dr. Wilkerson has published two books of poetry and five plays. He’ss edited an anthology of Georgia poetry, and he’s written the libretti for three operas, two of which have been produced. Dr. Wilkerson’s works for the stage have been produced in New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Frankfurt, Germany. He also has won the Columbus State University Creative Endeavors Prize.

Please join us to welcome this distinguished Columbus writer. We meet in person Sundays at 11 a.m., with safety measures in place. (See below.) Services are in spacious Grace Fellowship Hall on our campus at 8827 Heiferhorn Way, on the banks of Heiferhorn Creek.

We welcome people of all faiths and non-faith ethics systems, as long as they recognize and respect the worth and diignity of all people.

Our Pandemic Safety Measures

  • Masks are required for all our indoor events.
  • Seating has been changed to make social distancing easier.
  • Speakers and service leaders don’t wear masks at the podium, which is even more socially distant.
  • All our members and friends have been vaccinated for COVID-19. We urge visitors to get vaccinated.
  • We do have music, but we don’t sing together.
  • We serve refreshments before the service outdoors, but please do not bring food or drink inside for the service itself.
  • Guests are welcome, but please do follow alls our pandemic guidelines.
