Hannah Israel: “Building Art Based Communities”

Hannah Israel is a talented artist and the art director of the Illges gallery at Columbus State University, where she’s also a professor of art. Hannah has worked on community art projects throughout Columbus. Watch her presentation on our UUFC YouTube channel.

Hannah’s own work includes sculpture, installation, video and drawing. The list of galleries where her work has been shown is too long to reproduce, but it includes the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. You can learn more on her website.

“Art transcends boundaries and overcomes differences between people,” Hannah says. “We’re all creative beings—whether we’re making art or music, dance, murals, telling stories or sharing experiences, we’re all connected.”

In other words, Hannah Israel’s work connects with a number of  UU’s Seven Principles. You won’t want to miss her talk on our UUFC YouTube channel. We’ll post this service on Sunday morning, September 27.
