The Stewart Detention Center is a privately owned jail for men without immigration documents who are awaiting hearings. The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) opened an office in Lumpkin last year to provide legal assistance to detained immigrants.
Rick is our Fellowship’s lay leader. He’s a special education teacher by day, but he’s also a student of philosophy, comparative religion and ethical systems.
Rev. Theresa Slusher has studied spiritual living and life coaching, and she has over 40 years’ experience practicing and teaching meditation and helping others find more joy and passion in their lives.
Fellowship member Jim Humphries has 40 years experience in mental health clinical services, including geriatric mental health programs, and art and occupational therapy.
