Rev. Marti Keller on five remarkable Unitarian women

Rev. Marti Keller, our visiting Unitarian Universalist minister, will talk about a new book, “Bright Circle: Five Remarkable Women in the Age of Transcendentalism.”

Rev. Marti Keller

Author Randall Fuller writes about Unitarian Transcendentalist women who met at a Boston bookstore in the 19th century for tea and conversation. They talked about topics not discussed by “respectable,” well-behaved women of the time. It’s a perfect topic for Rev. Keller, who once delivered a sermon to us titled “Well-Behaved Women Seldom Make History.”

Rev. Keller lives in Atlanta. She’s been a Unitarian Universalist minister for more than 25 years, serving individual congregations and in leadership roles with the Unitarian Universalist Association. She’s also a poet, an essayist, a poet and an activist for human rights. Marti speaks once a month at our Fellowship.
