Wednesday and Friday live Zoom video meetings made easy

The Wednesday Night Discussion Group and the Friday Lunch Group continue to meet each week, via Zoom videoconference.

The Wednesday Night Discussion Group is a lively Zoom experience.

If you haven’t tried Zoom, now might be the time. It’s easier than you think and more secure than it was when the pandemic blew up. You can use Zoom with your computer, your tablet or your smartphone—as long as they have a camera and a microphone. Here’s now:

  • First, go to Zoom.us and download the app. You don’t even have to sign up for a free account, but if you do you can start your own Zoom meetings.
  • Second, watch for the emails Brenda Stevens sends out each week. You’ll find two links in the email—one to click for the Wednesday Night Discussion Group and one for the Friday Lunch group.
  • Third, when it’s time for the meeting, click on the appropriate link and wait for the host to let you in. (We do it that way to make the connection more secure. )

Joining a video conference can be daunting at first, and glitches happen. But soon you’ll get the hang of it.

If you have questions or suggestions, send an email to Bill Harlan with “Zoom question” in the subject line. If you have other questions about scheduled events email office administrator Brenda Stevens with “schedule question in the subject line.
