The first Sunday of every month we hold a potluck covered-dish lunch after the service. Visitors need only bring an appetite. We’ll have plenty of food. Childcare is available from 9:30 a.m. until noon. We’ll also accept non-perishable food items for donation to the Feed the Valley Food Bank.
9:30 a.m. Adult Religious Education. This week, “The Life of Buddha.”
10:30 a.m. Coffee, light refreshments and conversation.
10:45 a.m. Sunday Service. This week, Marj Harlan will lead the Water Ceremony. In years past we celebrated this event with water we collected over the course of summer vacations. This year, in a Water Communion, we’ll emphasize the power in each drop of water as it combines with other drops to replenish the earth. Bring a small sample of water from a source that is important to you, or use the water we’ll provide Sunday. Talk briefly about the significance of that water for you, or add yours to the whole in a silent offering.
10:50 a.m. Children’s Religious Education. The kids join us for the first part of the service, which includes a children’s story, they adjourn to a classroom for activities. This week they’ll focus on the First Principle of Unitarian Universalism.
Noon-ish. Sunday potluck.
