7 p.m. Discussion Group. This week’s topic: “Manliness.”

Thursday, May 12
11 a.m. The Women’s Group will tour the Ma Rainey House, followed by lunch at Minnie’s. RSVP to Brenda Stevens.
NO YOGA THIS WEEK. (Yoga resumes next week. Beginners welcome. It’s gentle. Bring a mat and $5.)

Friday May 13
12:30 p.m.
UU Media Lunch. Founded by retired journalists but open to everyone with an interest in current events and the way media reports them. (But we often wanter off topic.) We meet at various restaurants in Columbus. For details and to RSVP contact Bill Harlan at 605.390.0590 (mobile).

Sunday, May 15
The third Sunday of each month we give away the collection plate to a selected organization. This week it’s the FERST Foundation. Childcare is available from 9:30 a.m. until noon. Visitors are always welcome.

9:30 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. Adult Religious Education. This week Rick Spradlin will lead “Cosmic Origins: the Scientific Evidence for Creation. Part 1.” (This promises to be interesting, lively and a great way to get to know Unitarian Universalists.)
10:30 a.m. Coffee, light refreshments and socializing before the service.
10:45 a.m. to Noon. The Sunday Service. This week Bill Edwards, a retired communications professor from Columbus State University, will talk about “The Value of Superiority.”
10:50 a.m. Children’s Religious Education. The kids join us for the first few minutes of the main service, which includes a short children’s story. They they adjourn to a classroom. This week, Paul Lee will lead an art project.
