Order of Service, live on Zoom
We’ll return to live, in-person services as soon as possible. Meanwhile, join us by Zoom videoconference at 11 a.m. each Sunday. (That link is good through January. Then we’ll post a new one.)
Our online services typically last about 40 minutes, and the order of service can change. Our Fellowship is small, and we don’t have a UU minister. Instead, we rely on members, friends and members of the community to speak to us on topics relevant to the Seven Principles of Unitarian Universalism.
- 11 a.m. Opening Hymn (Join us a few minutes early on Zoom for socializing.)
- Welcome from the Service leader.
- Announcements.
- Lighting of the Chalice.
- Affirmation of the Seven Principles of Unitarian Universalism.
- Joys and Concerns and Candle Lighting
- Toast in Celebration of Life
- Moment of Silent Reflection
- Offering
- A Reading (We draw these from many sources.)
- Sunday Program (Twice a monty by Lay Leader Rick Spradlin and the rest by guest speakers.)
- Extinguishing the Chalice
- Closing Words
- Final Hymn
- Questions and comments about the service and socializing on Zoom.
